A burger to believe in
Chris Kronner envisioned a book as singular and insane as his eponymous KronnerBurger, which begins with three-month dry-aged beef from dairy cows. Along with his illustrator and creative shaman Samantha Strand, we shot the entire book in the restaurant basement. Glorious creativity met moments of abject frustration, at which points Chris would laugh and blurt cryptic nonsense in encouraging tones: “The eagle soars dude, just remember that.” I still carry emotional scars from my time in the Burger Dungeon - and I’m a better photographer for it. I also make a better hamburger.
